AThe other classic trek, actually visiting the Everest Base Camp, bringing with it all the excitement and rewards of trekking at high altitude in such a special place. Coming from Lukla airport, we head for Namche Bazaar where we stay a day and acclimatize. From Lobuje we ascend Kala Pattar and descend via Tengboche  to Lukla for the return flight to Kathmandu.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu - (1360m)

After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our office representative and transferred to the hotel. our senior guide will come to meet you and give you a brief orientation about Everest Base Camp Trek. Free time in Thamel and then in the evening we walk to nearby restaurant for dinner. O/N Hotel. Meals: -/-/D

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing.

The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, being the historical and cultural heart of the country, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers. The city is a marvelous amalgamation of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western cultures and influences. Patan and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities. These two cities, like Kathmandu, have a rich historical, cultural and religious legacy which is reflected in the many temples, monuments and artifacts that they contain. You will be taken on a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu valley: you will be visiting Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, Soyambhunath, which contains both Buddhist and Hindu shrines and stands as testimony to the religious harmony and we also visit to the historical sites of Patan Durbar Square. Also, we visit great Hindu temple i.e. Pashupatinath (lord Shiva’s temple). O/N Hotel. Meals: B/-/-

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2800m)

After arriving in Lukha (30 minutes flight); we trek to Phakding which takes about 4 hours (5km) and we stay in comfortable guesthouse. O/N Guesthouse. Meals: B/L/D

Day 04: Phakding to Namche (3440m)

Today we trek through forests, traditional villages and yak pastures. We cross Dudh Koshi River and and Monjo villages before reaching the entrance of the Everest National Park. Then we pass Jorsale village and finally reach Namche Bazaar; the biggest town in the Everest region. Total distance covered about 11km and 5 to 6 hours walk. O/N Hotel. Meals: B/L/D

May 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazar

Today is an acclimatization day thus you are free to local exploration around the town. You will have great views of mountains which are: Kwangde (6,011m), Thamserku (6,623m), Kangtega (6,782m), Nuptse (7,861m), Lhotse (8,516m), Ama Dablam (6,812m) and Mount Everest (8,848m).

Day 06: Namche to Tengboche (3870m)

Today’s hike is not that much difficult though you will have some ascend from Thunki village to Tengboche Monastary. Tengboche monastery which is the biggest monastery of the Everest region and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Tengboche you will have panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Trek distance: 10km, Trek Time: 5 hours. O/N Guesthouse, meals: B/L/D

Day 07:Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m)

We walk downhill to Debuche and cross the Imja River and reach Pangboche. We continue trek alongside of Imja Valley and Lobuche River before ascending to Dingboche. It’s a beautiful Sherap settlement having barley, potato and buckwheat fields. Trek distance 9km; Trek time 5 hours. O/N Guesthouse. Meals: B/L/D

Day 08: Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m)

oday the trek begins with a gentle climb towards the Pheriche Valley. The trail continues on to Thokla Pass with panoramic views of Nuptse, Lhotse, etc. Finally, after crossing the pass, we reach Lobuche. Trek distance 9km, trek time 5/6 hours. O/N Guesthouse. Meals: B/L/D

Day 09: Lobuche to Gorakhshep (5170m) via Everest Base Camp (5364m)

Today we ascend and descend mostly on a glacier rough path and finally see the beauty of Khumbu glacier. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful and it’s the base for Mt. Everest climbers. We can enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori and walk towards Gorak. Trek distance 13km, trek time 6/7 hours. O/N Guesthouse. Meals: B/L/D

Day 10: Trek to Kalapatthar 5,545m (Sunrise view) and back to Periche

Early morning we hike to Kalapatthar for the sunrise view as well as Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse and of course Mt. Everest and back to Gorakshep for breakfast. After breakfast, we descend down to Periche. Trek distance 19km, trek time 6/7 hours. O/N Guesthouse, Meals: B/L/D

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

Today is bit long day to descend down however there are only few bits to ascend and as we descend down we get the greenery and more air and finally reach back to Namche bazaar. Trek distance 20km, trek time 6/7 hours. O/N Guesthouse, Meals:B/L/D

Day 12: Namche to Lukla

Finally say goodbye to Khumbu valley and head back to Lukla airport for the return flight to Kathmandu. Trek distance 16km, trek time 6/7 hours. O/N Guesthouse, meals: B/L/D

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu (Flight)

Early morning fly back to Kathmandu with scenic mountain flight of 30 minutes and transfer to hotel. Refresh yourself, can visit to massage or spa and final day of shopping in Thamel. In the evening we go for farewell dinner to conclude the EBC trek. O/N Hotel. Meals: B/-/D
